About the Book
Corgard Does Show and Tell is the debut story in the Corgard children’s series — a heartfelt and emotionally grounded tale for kids ages 6 to 10 who are learning what real bravery looks like.
Corgard is half German Shepherd, half Corgi, and all heart.
His dad is a military working dog deployed on real-world missions, and his mom is doing everything she can to hold down the home front. Corgard often feels unsure of himself, anxious, and caught between wanting to be strong and not knowing how.
When his turn for Show and Tell finally arrives, Corgard’s paws tremble. His classmates bring exciting items, but all he has is a picture of his dad… and a small stuffed “Bravery Buddy” his father gave him before leaving.
With his dad’s words echoing in his mind — “Being brave doesn’t mean you’re not scared. It means you do the thing anyway.” — Corgard steps forward and discovers a courage he didn’t know he had.
